Threads of History: Print Your Own Linen Tea Towel, invites visitors to enjoy a creative day on the Ards Peninsula. Set in the beautifully converted former Carrowdore schoolhouse, the experience begins with the story of the Crommelin family and their place in County Down’s linen heritage. Guests will then learn the traditional art of block printing, with a local artist and design their own linen tea towel to take home. No experience is needed, just a willingness to create and enjoy the process. Combining history, craftsmanship and hands-on making, this memorable workshop offers a unique glimpse into local heritage and a lasting handmade keepsake. Tea and scones will be provided.
