Our Experiences

Linen Schoolhouse has a suite of curated tours tailored to both groups and individuals in search of an authentic destination experience on the Ards Peninsula in Northern Ireland.

The charming surrounds of this Victorian Schoolhouse provide the perfect setting for a truly memorable day.

Tea & Antiques

A unique afternoon tea experience awaits our guests at the Linen Schoolhouse. A local antique expert hosts an interactive learning experience all about Antiques whilst our guests enjoy some delicious treats.

One lucky attendee might be fortunate enough to win a prize.

Afternoon Tea & Printing

During our Ogham Print Workshop attendees learn the symbols representing the full alphabet, how to create words or phrases and incorporate these into print designs on different materials.

Guests will learn how to carve their designs into Lino and relief print their designs.

A delicious afternoon tea is served for lunch in the unique surrounds of the Linen Schoolhouse.

All designs created by guests can be taken home as a memento of the day.

Tea Blending - Sip & Savour

Join us for an afternoon learning all about different teas and herbs, how best to enjoy them and their benefits.

Guests will sample a range of tea blends, learning traditional tea tasting methods and identifying different flavour notes and aromas. Tea will be served with homemade scones and sweet treats.

To finish, guests will create three of their own tea blends to take home, personally designed, named and packed.

Scenic Sights & School Delights

The Ards Peninsula separates the calm Strangford Lough from the Irish Sea. Renowned for its natural beauty, the area features stunning views, historic sites and charming villages.

Guests will take in the panoramic views of Strangford Lough looking down from Scrabo Tower before travelling to Linen Schoolhouse for a comforting school dinner style lunch of Irish Stew followed by local fruit crumble for dessert.

After lunch the group will stop at Donaghadee, a beautiful seaside town to take in views across the sea to Scotland and check out the local shops, pubs and distillery.

Home Hosted Dinner

Enjoy a delicious home hosted dinner in the sumptuous surroundings of Linen Schoolhouse.

A drinks reception will be served in the gardens on arrival, followed by a sumptuous three course dinner with a local family to discuss life in Northern Ireland over the last 40 years.

To elevate the dining experience, we offer a selection of enhancements:
